Robinhood is MIA

Trying to create a new account: Robinhood. I have exactly one Robinhood account. When I go through the process of adding the account, all seems OK, but I am notified that no account was found and am told to Try Again. And again and again….

    Hi @NotoriousGangOfOne,

    Thank you for sharing what you’re experiencing; I’d be glad to help you with this.

    To better understand the situation, could you please let me know what type of account you’re trying to add from Robinhood into Quicken?

    I look forward to your response!

    Isn't RobinHood an investing type account? Q Starter only supports banking and credit card accounts.

    That could be, but there are hints all over that brokerage accounts are allowed. And Robinhood is provided as a drop-down option when adding an account.

    @NotoriousGangOfOne,

    As @NotACPA mentioned , Quicken Classic Starter does not support investment accounts, even if the financial institution appears in the list. Investment account support is only available in Quicken Classic Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business.

    I hope this helps clarify things!

    Robinhood also offers banking type accounts … which is why it's on the list.

    Quicken Starter is, by design, a very simplified/limited version of Quicken intended for people who only want to manage a checking account and/or credit cards; no investments, no loans, no annual budget, etc.

    You might consider the modest additional cost of Quicken Deluxe if you want to track your investment account. At Quicken's list prices, Starter is $53.88/yr ($4.49/month) and Deluxe is $77.88/yr ($6.49/month). But you can often find Quicken Deluxe on sale at various retailers for a lower cost which make the difference from Quicken Starter very minimal. The most frequent sales are around Black Friday, but they appear at other times of the year as well. For instance, Staples currently has Deluxe (not just for new users) for $45.59 — less than Quicken's price for Starter.
