Vanguard Memo field duplication BUG
I have > 1,000 transactions downloaded from Vanguard where the value of the Memo field has been repeated like this:
DIVIDEND PAYMENTDIVIDEND PAYMENT
DIVIDEND REINVESTMENTDIVIDEND REINVESTMENT
LONG TERM CAPITAL GAINLONG TERM CAPITAL GAIN
SHORT TERM CAPITAL GAINSSHORT TERM CAPITAL GAINS
This BUG has been noticed (but never escalated) by some others on this forum:
I think that no other financial institution I use has ever done this.
So, the BUG is surely with Vanguard, and not with Quicken.
The only solution is someone at Quicken needs to see this post and report it to Vanguard and get them to fix their BUG.
Quicken: please let us know that you have reached out to Vanguard.

Thank you for reaching out! Have you contacted Vanguard about this issue? The problem is most likely on their end, so speaking with their tech support directly may be the fastest way to resolve the issue. If you have spoken with them already and they weren't able to resolve it, I recommend contacting Quicken Support directly for further assistance. They have access to tools we can't access on the Community and can escalate the issue as needed. The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here.
