Now I made sale last Friday, March 20 that closed March 23, for that matter the sale occurred March 23 in one Investment account. How may I create a report of that account to see the effect of the sale on the value in account which in turns reflects in my overall portfolio of accounts?
I am unable to reconcile the overall portfolio change as a result of this sale?
The use of Quicken as a reliable source of information is becoming extremely dubious as I continue to monitor with Excel spreadsheets as a back up. Thanks Kristina

Hello @Tealeaf3,
Assuming that the information from the sales downloaded into Quicken correctly, I would expect a Portfolio Value Report should show you the impact of those sales on the account and allow you to see your overall portfolio.
I am unable to reconcile the overall portfolio change as a result of this sale?
To help troubleshoot, would you please provide more details? What seems to be reflecting incorrectly? For instance, is the sale not reflecting in your portfolio?
I look forward to your response!

@Tealeaf3 Note that when you sell a security, the value of the account does not change, because the proceeds from the sale are added to the Cash in the account, and depending on how the account is set up, may then be invested in a money market "Sweep" account.
The easiest way to see this is to go to the account in Quicken and click on Holdings. This shows all the securities and the cash in the account. At the top right of this view you will see "As of:" and a date. If you set the date to just before the sale, you should see the share price, shares and market value of each security in the account along with the available Cash. On the date of the sale, the number of shares and market value of the security you sold will decrease and the Cash or sweep fund should increase. It may take a few days before the sale settles and the cash moves to the sweep fund.
You can also see the effect of the sale in the Portfolio Value and Cost Basis report, where you can set the date range to include the sale date and a few days after and set the Interval to Day.
