How did I get signed up for a service I do not need?

I have been a Quicken subscriber since they took over Check Free way back in the day. I have a new bookkeeper who asked me about the $109 a year and $10.65/month charges we have been paying to Quicken Bill Pay. The $109 is for Quicken Premiere, and that is valid. We have been paying the monthly $10.65 charge to Quicken since June 2022. I called customer service and found out that the $10.65 a month charge is for Bill Manager. I have had Quicken Premiere since August of 2020. The agent said that Bill Manager is included with Quicken Premier, and he had no idea why I would have been paying for that all these years. Here are my questions: Can you find out how this charge was started, as I never needed the service and do not remember signing up for it? Can I get more than a refund of the most recent charge? Can you please respond by email? [Removed - personal information]

Thank you.

This is, predominantly, a user-to-user support forum … and we have neither the authority nor the knowledge to deal with customer pricing issues.

You need to contact Q Support via the link at the top of this page to deal with your issue.

How many Bill Pay and/or Check Pay payments do you actually make each month?

Don't tell us. We, the Quicken Community users, don't need to know.
But use this number and compare it to this table:

Quicken Bill Manager: How many payments can I make each month? | Quicken

When talking to Quicken Support on the phone, use it to determine the level of Bill Manager payments you actually need.

Interesting that $10.65 per month does not fit any of the Quicken Bill Manager tiers mentioned in the page @UKR referenced. The closest amount is $9.95 for 15 payments per month. Is there sales tax?

I have one bill payment per month. I did not sign up for this. I called Quicken Support and they gave me the link to come here for help. Then, you tell me that it is inappropriate for me to be here to ask this question and tell me to go back to Quicken Support. Thank you for the run around. I've been a Quicken user since the 1990's and expect better service than this. I have been scammed out of $10.65 a month since June of 2022 and there is nobody that will even listen to me about it in order to get an explanation.

This forum can't help with refund requests. We're other users. And I doubt that you contacted REAL Q Support via the link at the top of this page.

They're the ONLY ones who can help you.

    Hello @Docphantasy,

Thank you for reaching out! I checked our internal tools and can see that you did contact the real Quicken Support. The agent canceled the Bill Manager Plus subscription and issued a refund for the two most recent charges. To clarify, they provided the link to the Community so that you could share your feedback. We are not able to assist with refund requests.

Because it happened so long ago, I'm unable to review the ticket from when the subscription was first started, so I can't see why you subscribed to Bill Manager Plus ($9.95 per month plus sales tax) back then.

    I hope this helps!
