Give users the ability to rearrange the order of holdings for an investment account
This idea stems from the discussion posted at…
Within this discussion there was a suggestion to post a product improvement idea for voting. I'm not seeing where that might have been acted upon. So, he we go.
The "Customize Current View" dialog box allows users the ability to change the order of accounts using the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons (see the "Accounts" tab).
However, Quicken displays holdings within an investment account in alphabetical order with no apparent functionality to change (or customize) that order.
It would be great if the system were enhanced to allow users the ability to change the order of holdings within an account using "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons. Such an enhance would facilitate reconciling to the brokerage statement - especially for a brokerage account that has a LARGE number of holdings.

For what purpose?
You can already add a column for Ticker Symbol, or MANY other attributes, and sort the display on any displayed column simply by clicking on the column header.

One of my brokerage accounts actually sorts all holdings in alphabetical order. However, there are scant few holdings in this account.
Then there is my brokerage account that sorts holdings into broad categories - i.e., "Cash and Money Markets," "Equity," "Fixed Income," and "Alternate Assets." While another brokerage account shorts holdings into a different set of broad categories - i.e., "Stock Funds," "Bond Funds," and "Short-Term Funds." Both have a significant number of holdings making reconciliation tedious and time consuming.
The column filters don't cut it for me. I'd like to be able to customize the current view down to the security level.
