AI - Make AI features available

in Ideas for Windows Classic

I would love for Quicken to incorporate AI to review my finances and make recommendations. I'd love it to review my transactions and confirm there are no duplicates. Search for fraud. Provide advice or actions to resolve issues. Looking for a financial tool to look at my history and personal circumstances and guide me to a goal.

    I wonder if people making these kinds of requests understand that there is no way something like this could be run locally. To run it locally would require a very powerful machine with a powerful GPU or maybe NPU. Something that Quicken Inc couldn't assume for the average Quicken user.

    Why would the AI model have to run locally? I use Github Copilot in Visual Studio Code and when I ask Copilot to do something its able to look at all the code in my local repo and figure out what to send so the remote AI model can do what I asked. I don't think its sending my entire code base, it identifies what's relevant to the task at hand and sends that. Why couldn't Quicken do something like that?

    YouYou get a little of that with the Premier and up Portfolio X-Ray.

    Unfortunately it is broken, always gives the same analysis regardless of your holdings.

    Are you comfortable with all that? I think one of the main reasons a lot of people use Quicken Desktop over other online services is because they aren't comfortable with this.
