Quicken for seniors
Many Seniors only need a check register with multiple accounts for tracking credit cards, etc.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO RENT> STOCK OPTION, BILL PAY, AND ALL THE OTHER UNNEEDED OPTIONS?
Forget about all the bells and whistles.
Many do not need or want tracking stock, online bill pay, and all that fancy stuff
WE ONLY NEED A CHECK REGISTER, WITH MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS TO TRACK CREDIT CARDS, ETC
My computer is going bad, I need to fix it or choose another option, but I can't find one that will import my data into it.

Quicken tried that back in 2012 & 2014, with the Checkbook edition and it was free. Evidently not enough people wanted it and it was dropped.

You didn't say which edition of Quicken you are running but the entry level Quicken edition is Starter. It has all of the features you said you wanted but with no investments tracking but it will still have some of the bells and whistles. It is a least expensive subscription option available. You might want to consider trying Starter if you are not already using it.
But Quicken is already starting to downplay marketing of Starter because they want to get users to buy Deluxe and higher level editions. So I seriously doubt they will ever want to produce an even lower level edition than Starter…especially since over the years many others have made the same request you made and Quicken still has not done that.
There is also Simplifi which is an online-only personal software service. If you can access the Internet with a browser you can use Simplifi. It is a little less expensive than the desktop Quicken Classic. And there is no software that needs to be downloaded, installed nor occasionally updated. Many people find this to be a great option for those who want something less complex. But it will be starting over from scratch because Quicken Classic and Simplifi are two separate applications that are not compatible with each other.

I suspect Quicken has decided that a very low-cost, feature-limited version just isn't profitable enough to be worthwhile. Remember that a subscription includes unlimited free telephone support, not just the software itself. So while it might be useful to some people, it might not be a useful product for Quicken to provide.

We might want to dig into this a bit more. Why are you finding no computer which can import your data? Are you trying to purchase a used, old computer? Or are you not wanting to pay to upgrade to the current Quicken Classic? If you're using Quicken 2016 as your forum profile indicates, it may be possible for you to step back to Quicken 2013, which is available as a free download, and will run on pretty much any computer. If you confirm your current version and what your obstacles are, some of the Quicken Windows experts here can help guide you if that is a viable path.
