Quicken XG 2004 (UK) Win10 to Win11
Been using Quicken around 30yrs on my Windows desktops with no problems (or none that I remember). Loss of downloading from bank account is not a problem.
My desktop PC has a CD/DVD drive and I have the Quicken 2004 release 2 CD.
However, and this is the reason for contact here, my new Win11 laptop has no CD drive. So how do I get the Quicken CD to an external drive (I have plenty) and then install on Win11?

One easy way to do this is to buy an external optical drive (~$20) and use that to get the program installed. You can also use a flash drive.

I used to have an external optical drive but someone borrowed it and I can't remember who.
FYI I created an ISO file on an external SSD, mounted it on Win11 and ran setup. For some reason 5 .dll files were missing from Quicken folder and I've now copied them from the PC too and everything works OK

Check with your friends or the library to see if they have a cd/dvd drive, then copy the contents of the cd to a thumbdrive or usb harddrive and intall it from that.
