Cant get into my quicken anymore error says my system has blocked my file

i tried following the instructions in the error on how to fix it but can't find the file and don't have the security tab it talks about

What's the EXACT wording of that error message? Because I've never before heard of the error that you're describing.

ALSO, have you tried holding down the CTRL key while you click on the Q PROGRAM (not data) icon? That should cause Q to open to a nearly blank screen, with only the FILE and HELP menus available.

If that worked, then the problem would appear to be in your data file. SO, do FILE, Open Quicken file and see if you can open your data file from there?

Also, if that didn't work, see if you can do FILE, Backup and Restore and RESTORE the last Q backup file that you created.

Are you asking about C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Quicken\Data\QW.RMD?

Exit Quicken and delete the file.

You have to show Hidden Files in File Explorer.
