I followed instructions to rename some folders to Trouble.
After reinstall do I copy the files in these folders back to the new folders with the original names to restore my settings or not?

The reason you re-installed Quicken could be due to something in those files. The only thing you want to keep from the old setup is the .QDF data file itself.
-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
- Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11

I suspect the rename serves three purposes. One is to handle the possibility a file is being held open at the time. The second is for diagnosis at a later time. The third is to enable recovery should a file or folder be inadvertently selected.5

"Clive Walden" ,
See this procedure: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7844658/installing-reinstalling-windows-quicken-subscription-editions
Don't skip a step. Don't rename. Don't save. The Configuration for the Quicken Data File is saved with the Quicken Data File and this procedure works file, when you restore the Data File.

Thank you all for your prompt responses.
Does this mean, now that I am back up and running, that I can delete those renamed folders and their contents?
