After reinstall moving config files back?

I followed instructions to rename some folders to Trouble.
After reinstall do I copy the files in these folders back to the new folders with the original names to restore my settings or not?

    Hi @Clive Walden  ,

    See this procedure:  https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7844658/installing-reinstalling-windows-quicken-subscription-editions

Don't skip a step. Don't rename. Don't save. The Configuration for the Quicken Data File is saved with the Quicken Data File and this procedure works file, when you restore the Data File.

  • Thank you all for your prompt responses.
Does this mean, now that I am back up and running, that I can delete those renamed folders and their contents?

Contrary to Quicken's instructions, I always deleted them since I have never seen any reference to doing something with them at a later date.
    -splasher  using Q since 1996 -  Subscription  -  Win10
-also older versions as needed for testing
