I do not use Quicken for on-line bank.
I import transactions from qif
How can I unlink the quicken file from my account?
I have to work with many quicken files from different clients and copy them their files.

Unless thecreator is privy to some
special inside information
, that is not true. In fact, when subscription Quicken was introduced, the ability to import was improved such that you could import into non-cash accounts without editing a normal QIF file, but they eliminated the matching and anti-duplication screening, so whether it is an improvement is in the eye of the beholder.
