Quicken for Mac 2007LC QIF Settings?
Encoding: Mac OS Roman? UTF-16? UTF-8? Other?
Date Format?
Date Separator?
Decimal Separator?
I also need the Import AND the Export optional settings to the preferred settings

I cannot immediately recall the encoding but for the rest of the formatting, I suggest you simply export a sample of your data to see the exact format (the output is simple text file that can be viewed in any text editor.

I exported a QIF FROM Q4M2007LC and it looks like the following:
Date Format: mmddyy
Date Separator: /
Decimal Separator: .
BUT I still need to know the Encoding; how do I determine that? BTW, I suspect UTF-16 won't work as it is too recent for Q4M2007
Edit: I did some further research on Mac OS Roman, UTF-8 and UTF-16. Basically the first two equate to ASCII, while the latter doesn't. So it looks like I should make sure all QIFs are ASCII compatible and it looks like selecting UTF-8 might be the easiest.0 -
