Hi, I'm on Quicken Premier Mac 2020. How would I make a report based on a "Memo Contains...'*' " search criterion? I would like to list the transactions for a key word in the Memo field, add them up, and display the total. Thanks!
You can do that right in the register. First, go to the account (or account group) register of interest. Click in the search box, top right, then click the magnifying glass icon. A list will pop up allowing you to restrict the search to the Memo field. Type your keyword in the search box.
The register will now show only matching transactions and the total of those transactions will be displayed just below the search box.
If you would like this as a report, you can use menu File > Print to generate a report to print or save to PDF. If you would like to work with the transaction in Excel or Numbers, use menu File > Export > Register Transactions to CSV.

A word of caution with searching the register for a memo entry. If the search term is part of a split transaction entry, it will be listed in the search results. However, the Total will include other items in the split transaction(s).

First, click on the underlined link above to go there, then click the little grey triangle under the VOTE count at the top of page 1 in the blue banner, so your vote will count for THIS feature and
increase its visibility to the developers by seeking to have the
features you need or desire end up in the latest version (it may take a
moment for your vote to register). (If the triangle is black, your vote has already been counted.)

Thanks to both of you for the prompt replies. Seems like I can't do a savable Quicken Report, but this is quite useful for transaction summaries that are not likely to be needed in the future anyway. In this case, I need to include credit card, checking, and cash payments, so I performed your steps on the All Transactions heading, which seemed to work across Account Groups.
