Who did you buy Quicken from?
If from Q itself, no activation code is needed. Your product was activated the moment that you bought it.
If from elsewhere, the activation code should have been sent from that vendor.

Also, a common misunderstanding regarding upgrades. You do need to download Quicken Subscription and install if you are migrating from a prior version (Q2017). QSubscription will not update Q2017.

Thank you. I see that the email that the order was placed through is [removed - privacy], but Quicken is demanding that I sign in through  [removed - privacy]. How do I untangle this tangle??

Go to:  https://www.quicken.com/ Move the mouse over SIGN IN and click My Account.

Sign in on the next page.

You need to use your Quicken User ID and its password.

Note: If you purchased from Quicken.com, there is no Activation Code.
