Quicken is automatically splitting transactions from some payees. How do I make it stop?
Transactions are uploaded to Quicken Mac. However, Quicken is splitting transactions for some payees (Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart). The splits are incorrect and a mess. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

Hello @Mike,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your issue, though I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
It sounds like this is happening because it might have gotten saved that way in your QuickFill Rules (possibly from a previous transaction that was a split).
You can check by going to--- Window
- Payees and Rules
- QuickFill tab
In the QuickFill tab you can search the payee(s) and see if they are saved with the split categories you are seeing. If so, you can delete it (this only deletes the rule and not the payee) or edit it.
Hope this helps!

@Mike The Quicken Mac product manager has indicated they plan to add the ability to "lock" a QuickFill rule in an upcoming release. So you could have a rule for Home Depot locked with no category and no splits, and you'd make those edits from scratch on each subsequent transaction without those plots then applying to future transactions.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
