I bought Quicken, but I want my girlfriend to be the user.

Hi Folks, I just bought Quicken using my credit card, but I want to have my girlfriend as the registered user. How do I do that? Thanks!

Hi
@robbehr
,
Where did you buy Quicken from? Do you have an existing Quicken User ID?

I bought it online directly from quicken.com using a quicken user account I created today and my credit card. I'm giving it to my girlfriend as a present.

- If you had bought the program from a retailer it would be a simple matter for your girlfriend to set up her own Quicken.com account and then enter the activation code from the retail product.
But when you order the program directly from Quicken it is automatically assigned to your Quicken.com account. You could let her use Quicken with your Quicken ID but it might be better if you were to call Quicken (

, explain your situation and what you want to accomplish. I'm sure they will be able to offer you a solution so that she can have her own Quicken ID/Account and install the program against that.

I suggest you provide your girlfriend with the
Quicken ID
and password you used to purchase the subscription. You may edit the
Quicken ID
details (name, email address, etc. ) appropriately aft signing in at:
https://www.quicken.com/my-account To
install Quicken, your girlfriend should download and open:

To add to what Sherlock said, when you purchase directly from Quicken.com I believe that they might turn on the automatic renewal. If that is the case it would also be connected to your credit card. So make sure you disable that and get it disconnected from the account.
