I rebooted Windows, and A,B and C all were successful! The fix... immediately reboot once you add an account... not sure why this works, but I haven't any problems since.
You don't need to reboot, just restart Quicken.  See this:

  • After fixing my quicken file to solve for all the Schwab changes https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7901630/charles-schwab-update-issues-windows-edited/p1 both my Vanguard and Fidelity accounts quit working; they all now throw the "During the last online session, Quicken encountered an online error [OL-362-A]. Your financial institution has downloaded data for an account that does not exist in your Quicken data file" error.

Based on feedback here I hesitate to try Deactivate/Reactivate. Any solution?

I am having the same issue once I downloaded the patch and fixed my Schwab accounts Vanguard accounts stopped working.

    Same error:

During the last online session, Quicken encountered an online error [OL-362-A].
Your financial institution has downloaded data for an account that does not exist in your Quicken data file.
    For more information and assistance
Contact Vanguard at 1-888-285-4563 for more information and assistance with this issue.
Visit the Quicken Support website for FAQs and to contact support

I do not like the deactivate idea since the support team clearly states Quicken thinks its a new account and downloads all transactions which is a mess to clean up.

Would love a fix for this as well
  • Well I restarted my computer and now both Vanguard and Fidelity are updating fine. So who knows? I'll post back if any of this changes.
