In addition/alternative to the way @RickO mentioned, you can go to the Accounts menu and select Hide & Show Accounts…  This will show all your accounts, open and closed, and closed accounts can be re-opened with a simply click on the Reopen button.

You can't reopen it.  That's why the program seeks confirmation that you indeed want it closed.
What you CAN do, however, is to create another account in Q for this checking account ... and then copy over all of the transactions from the old account to the new.

  • When I closed the acc out, it said I could reopen it later?

    Hi @Vince Drottar

I suggest that you restore a backup file dated before you closed the account.
