How do I make sure my notes column from my register transfers to an excel sheet ?

To include the Notes column when exporting a register to a spreadsheet, I suggest you use a Transaction report (aka a Register report). Be certain to check the Notes column on the Display tab of the Customize Transaction window: open the report and press Alt + C.

Unfortunately you can't. The columns that are exported a fixed set, and the notes column isn't one of them.Signature:
