Express Web Connect stops connecting

Express Web Connect works for a few days, then quits. I have to disconnect my accounts and reconnect them. This happens with Discover Card and Shell Credit Union so I know it's not just one account or bank. Direct Connect works fine with other accounts, like Amex and Citi.

    Yes I do have a Discover Card setup for Direct Connect.  But you need to use "Advanced Options" so that you can be sure to get Direct Connect.  You also want to select Discover Card, NOT Discover Card Account Center.

    Hi @dms329 .  Are you getting any error codes with Discover and Shell?
    Also, there is an Alert that has been posted regarding an issue with some credit unions: NEW 5/17/21 CC-501 Errors Returned for Multiple Financial Institutions.  If you are getting this same error code with your Shell Credit Union perhaps it is due to this Alert.
    Also, there was an issue with Discover Card a few weeks ago where Discover would stop updating.  Several people said that the following resolved the issue for them.  You might want to try it to see if it fixes it for you, too.:
    1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    2. Click sign in as a different user
    3. Type "yes" to sign out
    4. After you sign out, sign back in with the same Quicken ID

    I don't have a Discover Card, but I believe @splasher does and can use Direct Connect for that one.

    No error codes. I just have to tell it to update multiple times buy updating the single account before it will take. Using the onestep update doesn't work for express web accounts. I'll try to connect to them through advanced options and see if that works. Thanks for all of the replies.
