How do I create a variable rate loan

How do I create a variable rate loan? Each loan I try to create the option is set to fixed and grayed out, so not available to change. Even after I create the loan if I go back to change the rate it appears to change the entire loan.

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your question.

    Unfortunately, this is not currently a feature that is offered in Quicken for Mac.

    However, to request this feature to be added in the future, what you can do is create an idea post. This way other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea.

    Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.
