Custom Reports Have Unwanted Categories

I have older custom reports that show up with unwanted categories selected, and I can't save and fix them. There was a previous discussion on this topic (https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7911304/my-custom-reports-are-showing-up-with-unwanted-categories-selected-and-i-cant-save-and-fix-them#latest), but there was no resolution. I, too, tried all the same things that MrZipp tried. I am re-upping this discussion to see if anyone else has found a solution to this. Thanks for your help.

Can you show us the report customization view where you select which categories to show?
If there are additional entries in the fields along the right side of the dialog you may get unexpected results.
Can you describe the type of report you're trying to create and the steps you perform when creating said report from scratch? That might tell us where the problem is.

Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?

Please save images to files of file type PNG, JPG, or GIF only. They're easier to work with than PDF files.

Sometimes changes to the internals of Quicken cause reports saved with an earlier version to work incorrectly.

Have you tried re-creating a problem report starting with one of the built-in reports? That often fixes problems with saved reports.

Also are the unwanted Categories ones that are marked Hidden? That would include all the special investing categories that begin with underscores (_). If so, please see this discussion
    https://community.quicken.com/discussion/comment/20261700#Comment_20261700.

Basically to exclude hidden Categories from a report, you must check the Show hidden Categories box, then click the Clear All button then select the categories you want to include.
