Chase Connection Update

I have been trying for three days to make the new connection identified by Quicken when I do a one step update. The first time I tried, it created a new account. Then I deactivated the existing account and reactivated it. This did connect to my online Chase account but the Quicken “online balance” did not match the Chase online balance. I tried this last process three times with the same result. I have to recover a backup copy of my file each time to get back to the original connection method. Hopefully Quicken will fix this bug soon.

Check the opening balance. For myself and others, when Quicken switched to the Express Web Connect + recently the process for some unknown reason changed the opening balance. This also happened to me in the past when Quicken changed their connection method. Someone else suggested noting the opening balance in the memo field of the first transaction just so you know what it is. It took me a few tries to get it switched over to the new connection method. Luckily I had a backup I could revert to each time it screwed up.

The strange thing is that the Quicken “Online Balance” shown at the bottom of the screen always equals the “Chase Current Balance” minus the Chase “Pending” amount.

The Chase incorrect balance issue seems to be getting worse and now affects any account that receives transactions during a download. My checking, which is Direct Connect is now unable to reconcile also. Also, strange "0/0/1900" entries now appear in several of the accounts in the reconcile window. When clicking on them, I get "Error Accessing Disk" error. I'm thinking they are trying to fix the issue but have only managed to make it worse! My suggestion, put it all back to where it was and make Chase use "Direct Connect". That works the best anyway!

Yep, I switched over to the new Chase connect method a couple of days ago, and now my credit card balance is all effed up. They told us this change was coming for weeks and weeks. Hard to believe now that these issues are occurring. Almost feels like it wasn't tested thoroughly. Very disappointing.

I am keeping the original connection method until they fix the problem. This is the last update I received:
