Bank of America connection method update problem

Warning - This morning I updated the BofA connection method. It made a mess in my checking account. Transaction were duplicated, changed, transfers were broken ... I'm a 30 year user so I had made a backup before starting because I have learned. I have spent over six hours today methodically restoring my backup and doing one thing at a time. I have lost my budget, had transactions changed and nothing was repeatable. I started at 6:30 AM, took a three hour break, and at 4:43 PM I now have a good file with the new connection method. Be carefull!!

Hello @Greg Lampe,
Thank you for contacting the Quicken Community, though I do apologize that you are experiencing these issues when migrating your Bank of America connection method and I understand how frustrating this is.
We recommend contacting Quicken Support directly for further assistance as they can walk you through troubleshooting steps in real-time and escalate the situation if needed.
The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Phone support is available from 5:00am PT to 5:00pm PT, Monday through Friday.
Thank you.

Have a similar issue, and am also a 30 year customer. When I changed to the new connection Quicken created new checking, credit card, mortgage, and HELOC accounts. When I contacted support, they found some errors from 2003. I was further informed that today's issues with the duplicated accounts would not be looked at until I paid to have the nearly 20 year old errors repaired.
Software that has been working all these years, converted to subscription fee based software and I must pay to have a 20 year old transaction repaired to fix a current connection issue.
Be very careful with this change, I expect I will be a former 30 year user.0 -
Are you sure you contacted Quicken Support and not some scam support site? Quicken doesn't charge for support if you have a current subscription.

Update: They were not trying to charge for support, they were charging to upgrade my subscription before they would fix the issue.
I was easily able to repair the issues found in the validate log. I re-engaged with customer service and was informed again that I would need to upgrade to a new 'data protection' plan for a mere $649 for 3 years.
I will attempt to contact the US support this week, but as of this moment I do not see a positive outcome.0 -

Update 2:
Chris, Thanks again. If you google quicken support as I did, the first thing that comes up is an ad, not Quicken. The company is 'bizprobooks' and if you are not paying attention, they got you.
I will try work with the real Quicken during the week if I can find the time.0
