Quicken not responding after installing to new computer with Windows 11

I just downloaded Quicken to my new computer which has Windows 11. The install and restore went smoothly, but any time I try to download transactions or make any changes to the online account set-up quicken freezes and I get an error message that the program is not responding. I must close the program each time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting the computer with no improvement.

Hello @KarenQ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.- Navigate to Edit
- Preferences...
- Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
- Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
- Follow the prompts to Sign Out
- Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password
I hope this helps!-Quicken Anja

Unfortunately your suggestion did not work. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. The app seems to work until I try doing anything with downloading transactions. I can’t even deactivate online services. Quicken just stops responding. Sadly, when I restored from my backup to another computer that quicken was installed on, that one started behaving the same way.0

I enabled Controlled Folder Access and that seems to have done the trick. Thanks so much!0
