Credit Card transactions are downloading to brokerage cash account

Lost my credit card. Got a new one. Added the new credit card account. Quicken downloads the new cc transactions to my brokerage cash account. I closed my old cc account in Quicken but this had no effect, transactions still going to brokerage.
Thinking I should close/delete the new cc account and try again?
Balances are off and I have too many transactions to manually edit and move.
Thoughts?

Note, the credit card and brokerage are unrelated financial institutions.0 -
Hello @Charles Farnell,
Thanks for reaching out to the Quicken Community, though I do apologize that you are experiencing this issue when adding your new credit card account.
First, I suggest restoring from a backup that was created before you noticed this issue occurring. You may follow this link for more information regarding restoring from a backup. After restoring from a backup, I suggest then immediately saving another backup.
Next, I suggest you try to deactivate all accounts for this financial institution, then force Quicken to "discover" all available accounts. Please, follow the instructions below in order to do so.- Open the Account List in Quicken (Tools > Account List OR Ctrl + A)
- If present, select the Show Hidden Accounts checkbox at the bottom of the Account List
- Edit each account with this financial institution to Deactivate (or Remove From One Step Update) on the Online Services tab
- Click on the General tab and remove any info displayed in the Financial Institution, and Account/Routing Number fields. Note: The account must be deactivated first before these fields can be edited.
- When finished, close the Account List
- Close, then re-open Quicken
- Navigate to Tools > Add Account
- Walkthrough this process as if you were going to add a new account, providing the login credentials and answering any security questions/processes presented until you reach the screen where Quicken displays the Accounts Discovered at the financial institution
- Very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have set up in Quicken.

The FAQ for replaced credit cards.Sounds to me like you attempt with a new account got incorrectly linked. You should be able to unlink the brokerage cash account from the real world cc account. Or restore a backup.0
