I had a problem with erroneous entries to a couple of accounts and had to restore a couple of times to get back to before the error entries occurred.
Each restore resulted in a "sync to cloud! what data is QUICKEN collecting without my permission?

The article doesn't answer my question, unless I don't comprehend.
I do not use mobile at all; I do not download transactions from any brokerage account; I do not have "update Portfolio" in the update screen checked.
The only thing I do daily is update the prices of my investment holdings.
My question was 'why when I restore a backup, does the sync Q with cloud happen. I don't use the cloud for anything, at least voluntarily, I'm old school and only trust local storage of my financials.
