American Express Transaction Download

Starting today (9 Feb., 2023) when I initiate a transaction download I get the message "Your Financial Institution connection needs an update" and indicates American Express as the institution in question.
Of course, I had established this connection long ago.
It says I have to Reauthorize the account - when I attempt to do so it directs me to an AMEX web page and when I log into that page I get:
We're Sorry
We're unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later.
You are now leaving American Express and returning to App/Web Partner.

I got that message yesterday, but didn't do anything with it. My guess is that AMEX is going to drop Direct Connect as the downloading method in favor of EXC+, though that hasn't been made clear:The linked Announcement refers to "a couple of months" so, another guess, maybe Quicken was just doing some preliminary testing that escaped into the wild?I'm sitting tight with Direct Connect until the last possible moment.0

I went to the American Express Website to try to reauthorize my credit card and was unable to find how to do it!0

This remains unresolved.
AMEX support says it is a known Quicken issue.
Is Quicken doing anything?0
