Signing in as a different user seems to correct Accounts that have silently stopped downloading?

I have had several Accounts stop downloading transactions - all using one or the other versions of EWC - without indicating any errors. Sometimes resetting the Account works, sometimes not. One thing that I found did work with my latest struggle with my wife's Schwab Accounts was to sign in as a different user and I have absolutely no idea what that does to fix things.

"Sign in as a different user" is now part of the script used by Mods for users' experiencing this problem and it doesn't appear to be "token" related as the Accounts mentioned in users' posts include both "flavors" of EWC, and I've seen posts reporting signing is as a different user has worked with non-EWC+ Accounts. So, I'm guessing it has something to do with either the EWC collection method(s) or "syncing."

Does anybody have any ideas as to what’s going on here?

    Hello @Tom Young,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. There are a couple things logging out of Quicken, closing the program, reopening it, and logging in can do. First, it refreshes your login token. If your profile was out of sync with Quicken servers, refreshing the login token corrects that. Also, Quicken does cache some information for faster operation. Logging out and closing the program serves to clear that cache, which can help when Quicken isn't downloading transactions.

    Thank you.

Hi Kristina. I had intended to post this to the Lounge. Could you move it over there, please.
