Had to pay $120 in penalties due to incorrect routing number

I used Bill pay to send 4 payments. They had the incorrect routing number of the paying bank. Merchants charged $30 for each returned payment.

When I look at the details the account does not show any routing number account number.

Where does Quicken keep that information? Any chance that quicken will reimburse these penalties

    Did these payments go out using Quicken Bill Manager's Check Pay function?

    In that case, your Check Pay setup must be at fault. Double check your settings in Bill Manager:
    Click the Action gear icon, select Payment Accounts, click Edit on the line with the checking account. Now review and change the Routing number.

    The checking account credentials are correct. Decided to try again. Now I have about a couple payments that were due in June "printed and delivered to us mail" that have not arrived.

    Abandoning and trying something else. Not ready for prime time.

    BTW, did the merchants return the incorrect paper checks to you (or a Xerox copy of same)?
    Were both the routing and the account number printed in the MICR code line on those checks EXACTLY the same as printed on your book of personal checks you received from the bank?
    And the numbers on your personal checks also exactly match what you entered into Quicken Edit Payment Account?

    If the paper checks printed by Check Pay really did have incorrect numbers on them, then it's time to contact Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and report this issue.

    No, one of the merchants did send me copies. The routing numbers on the failed checks were incorrect.

    Wrt to the two lost payments, one finally made it, weeks late. Fortunately, that merchant did not charge a late fee.
