Discover does not support Quicken.
I spoke with Discover several times because I am not able to download banking information. They now inform me they no longer support Quicken and do not intend to start again. I told the person my Discover Card still downloads. She said it shouldn't.
It seems I must quit using Discover. Perhaps they will change their ways if we all cancel them.

Hello @Bob Dahlman,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
Discover Bank no longer supports Web Connect 2-step downloads, meaning downloading a QFX file from their website and importing it to Quicken. However, automatic downloads via Express Web Connect is still supported, though we do currently have an open issue reported for this connection method which is being worked on by our teams You can find details about this in this Community Alert.
Hope this clarifies things! Thank you.

Maybe a bit of clarification around this issue. From your Community Alert, this has been ongoing since May, 2023. Long time without a fix.
Mine apparently quit downloading transactions end of July. When Discover was queried regarding this, as others have reported, the response is as follows…
"Thank you for your being a valued Discover customer. I understand your concern regarding being able to import your transactions using the Quicken or QuickBooks software.
Unfortunately, Quicken and QuickBooks software is no longer supported. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
You are able to access your transactions anytime through your online account center by clicking on your Activity under your account details. You are also able to download the transaction history in an Excel or CSV file.
Any questions concerning Quicken or QuickBooks products can be address directly to the financial software provider (either wvwv.Quicken.com or wvwv.Intuit.com).
If you have questions, click on the Help section of the Account Center online or on the More option in the Discover Mobile App to review oui' FAQs. You also can reply to this message or call us at 1-800-347-7000 (TDD 1-800-347-7454). Our 100% U.S.-based customer service team is available 24 hours a day. 7 days a week."
Seems Discover thinks they are no longer supporting Quicken and Quicken thinks there is a fix coming someday. Appears to be a disconnect between the institutions.

this has been going on for about a year if you do a search (i can find threads from oct 2022 and that is without much of a search so cud be longer). i have called quicken and if there was a way to do this thru web connect i assume they would have done it while i was on phone with their tech support.

An announcement from Anja came out on 8/23/23 saying the issue was resolved and it gave instructions on what to do.
This announcement is incorrect, it's not resolved. I just got off the phone with support and they are still saying they have no ETA for a correction to the problem.

I solved my problem by transferring ALL my money from Discover bank to Capital One bank. Same service and comparable interest rates. If Discover thinks they don't need Quicken, I have news for them: I don't need Discover Bank. Goodby and good riddence to them.

Ok, this is driving me nuts, so I have been doing a lot of digging. I am a Quicken for Mac user and I rely extensively on this software for my banking needs. I have been able to sign into my discover banking accounts but unable to download new transactions. All I get is the running balance.
I have learned that Discover has transitioned this year to express web connect+ for their connection to budgeting software. So I decided to do a little experiment. I went to mint and tried to connect there. After all, if it was a discover not allowing the outflow of data, they wouldn't allow it to anybody, but it worked. In fact, I had to do the security checks that are required for express web connect+ to connect my accounts to mint. When I create a new data file in Quicken and add my Discover accounts these security measures are not there meaning quicken is still trying to connect using express web connect (standard).
QUICKEN, you need to update Discover Bank to express web connect+ so this can be resolved please. This should not take days or weeks to implement.

@robertjohnfunk You are posting in a Quicken Windows thread. Even though both use similar methods for downloading they are exactly the same. You need to post in a Quicken Mac thread or start one of your own.
On top of that bringing Mint into the picture is even more "not the same". Not only can a financial institution decide not to support a given program, Mint and doesn't use the same "aggregation method" as Quicken, at least not the last time I checked.
