PayPal Credit, Mastercard and Crypto (Synchrony)--No connection to server

No downloads via OneStepUpdate on my PayPal Mastercard account (administrered by Synchrony Bank) since August 6. When I attempt reset (per the Quicken troubleshooting dialog box), I get this message:

"[W]e are unable to connect to the Quicken servers at this time," with a direction not to bother PayPal/Synchrony on this issue.

Telephone support advised me Monday there is no ETA for a fix on this nearly month-long issue. I understand that PayPal and its affiliates have never played well with Quicken, but what's going on—particularly as users are now locked into annual subscriptions with this product. What are we getting for our money?

Believe it or not, I was able to reset these accounts today! But why did it take Quicken so long to resolve the problem (for now)!
