Quicken Changes my Manual Loan Payments
Quicken user since 2008. I have 4 separate files, each with multiple manual variable rate loans that are automatically deducted from their respective checking accounts using the Loan Payment Reminder window. These rates change annually, so I change them using the Adjustable-Rate Loan table. However, once I reach 10 entries, there is no longer an option to edit/delete those entered rates. Not a huge deal, except Quicken is also adding its own entries into these tables, sometimes months after my own entry, where it changes the amount of the payment. This causes my downloaded checking transactions to no longer match, and also requires manually editing each of these payments so they match for reconciliation. This issue is present across all my files, and the first half of the issue is present in a brand new file, too (I haven't verified the second, as it seems random when Quicken will add its own entry into the variable rate table).
I do not allow quicken to download or sync any transactions to these manual loans. My only downloaded transactions are checking account entries. They are also always 2 decimal loans (e.g. 4.58, not 4.575), so it's not a rounding issue in the loan rate.
I have been experiencing this issue since at least Quicken 2018, across multiple versions of windows and different PCs (currently on Windows 11). I attempt to report this issue to support at least twice a year to no resolution. I can't get anyone from higher support to reach back out to me for further information, and on subsequent support chats there is no record of previous support requests so I have to start over. I validate, super validate, change file names, move files to different directories, start with fresh files, etc etc.
I'm not the only person with this issue, e.g.:
But most other discussions like this are closed too quickly for anyone else to chime in with additional data.

Hello @craigeryjohn,
Do you by chance have the ticket numbers that were given to you during your previous Support Interactions?
Thanks!

Hi Jasmine! I don't have my recent ticket numbers; I usually get so frustrated with the basic chat support and their runarounds that I give up after about an hour. However, I did find a support ticket from 2015(!) where I was trying to point this same issue out to Travis w/ Quicken Sr. Tech Support | On behalf of Office Of the President |. That reference number is 412587736, however that was before quicken changed ownership. At that time, I submitted videos and screenshots of this exact same issue directly to support staff with Quicken OOP. So it's 9 years later, $1000 in annual quicken membership charges, and still no fix. I'm happy to put in the work to get this information back in the hands of proper support channels to get it fixed, I just can't ever get past the frustrating basic support system that's in place to report these bugs. Appreciate the quick response Jasmine!

Thank you for your reply,
If you're wanting to report the issue without having to go through Support, then you can do that in your Quicken program by going to Help>Report a Problem, provide the details of the issue along with ATTN: QWIN - 18046, and please include log files (and a sanitized data file if you're willing). While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.
We apologize for any inconvenience!
Thank you.
Quicken Kristina
