QWin doesn’t allow me to scale reports - Win11/ARM/Parallels/Mac (edit)

The scaling option is greyed out in the Quicken print dialogue box no matter what printer I select: HP or Microsoft Print to PDF. The Quicken PDF printer is not showing as an option.

Using:

Quicken for Windows Release R52.16. / Build 27.1.53.16

Running the program under Parallels on an M1 Mac

Windows version is Windows 11 Professional, 64 bit for ARM

Aside from some minor window scrolling pauses the app appears to run properly except for the print scaling issue.

That Page Scaling area becomes active only when the Quicken Print to PDF is selected and is greyed out otherwise. I don't know it the problem is that the printer didn't get installed for some reason, or if the "emulation" aspect is somehow to blame, though I wouldn't think so. Perhaps a reinstall of the Quicken program?

    There's also this:

    that might shed some light.

    Hi Tom

Unfortunately the suggestions in the linked file and also re-installing Quicken did not resolve the problem. That PDF printer will not install. Do you know if the Quicken PDF printer is compatible with a 64 bit Windows 11 for ARM installation?

    Thanks

Instead of worrying about the Q PDF printer, try installing "Cute PDF". It's free and works well.

The Quicken PDF printer does work with Windows 11. I'm not familiar with the ARM installation.

    Hi Tom,

CutePDF is not compatible with my Win11 for ARM installation. Oh well😒

Guess I’ll just wait for Quicken to perhaps update in the future.

Thanks for your help / suggestions

For what it is worth, I'm on Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (Windows 11 only has 64-bit) with an AMD processor and Page scaling isn't available on any of my printers. And this is far from the first complaint about this. I don't know what triggers it for being available, but it isn't just because you are on ARM.
