Wells Fargo Reauthorize Doesn't Work

I have a very similar problem to that of those here. Of two accounts at WF, both have been reauthorized multiple times, both via Quicken and directly through WF. The process completes and finishes with downloads of the current information. When reopening Quicken to update all accounts, I get the alert that Quickeen/WF have changed the update procedure… Going through the entire process again, when at the accounts-to-be-changed screen, both accounts are already checked and greyed, indicating that they are already authorized. Finishing the authorization, I am asked to tie the WF checking account to the Quicken account, again, but the other account is MIA. This circle continues endlesly.
Any ideas or experience would be appreciated

Hello @Steve Schifrin,
To help you look into this issue, could you please provide more information on what this alert you're getting looks like? If you're getting an alert like the sample image below, then it tells you the account name(s) that it sees still connected via the old method.
If that is what is happening, then you would need to take note of the account names it shows you. If they are accounts that are closed or inactive on the financial institution side, you would need to backup your Quicken file, then deactivate those accounts. If they are active accounts that you need connected in your Quicken, then you would need to backup your Quicken file, deactivate the accounts, then go to Accounts>Add Account and follow the prompts to authorize and relink the accounts.
If you are getting a different alert, then please post a screenshot of it (with any personal information redacted) if possible. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
If you're not able to provide a screenshot, then please describe it and exactly what it says in as much detail as possible.
I hope this helps!

Thank you , Kristina, for the response.
The original notification was similar to the screen above, with Wells Fargo listed instead of AMEX. There were no specific accounts listed. There are two accounts at WF, a checking account and a brokerage account. I went through the authorization a number of times, seemingly successfully, until at the end "finish" screen, only the checking account was listed. Subsequent logins to QuickenMac started the process all over again, with the exception that there was a confirmation screen with all "previously authorized" accounts listed and checked, and greyed out. Again, the "finish" screen listed only the checking account.
In Quicken and on the WF site, I disconnected the brokerage account from the list of "update all accounts," restarted Quicken, and the alert did not appear. Oddly, in this one instance, Quicken didn't ask for my 2FA code from WF. I reconnected the brokerage account but ended up in the same spiral as before. I've disconnected the brokerage account again, and all is quiet.

Thank you for your reply,
Do you connect the Brokerage account using Direct Connect or Quicken Connect? Which Wells Fargo connection option do you have the account connected under?
Thank you.
