Whether or not Quicken will update this tax information prior to 2024 remains to be seen. I understand you can edit/save the text file to include 2024 rates here:

C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Inet\Common\Localweb\Biz

Recommend you back up this file first before editing.

    C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Inet\Common\Localweb\Biz\MileRate.txt

It's a simple, and easily understood, text file.

Use NotePad or WordPad NOT MS Word to edit it.

Thanks for providing how to update the file, but honestly, this should be an easy fix that Quicken is responsible to do annually. Quicken, are you going to update this file?

According to the Release Notes, tax tables were supposed to have been updated in the R 53.26 release in December.

Did they miss updating milerate.txt? Looks like it to me …

If you can't wait for the next bug fix release to update the Milerate.TXT file for you, please feel free to do it yourself, following the instructions posted above (while Quicken is closed!)

AFAIK … It actually doesn't matter if Mileage Tracker transactions for 2024 are recorded with an incorrect mileage rate. Once the file is updated, each transaction will update to show the correct rate.
