After loading 2015 from Disk getting blank screen after trying to log in
Hi all,
I have a 2015 disk that I was looking to use on a new computer and loaded the software along with the updates USA mod14 then mod 15 then mod 17 latest Did this before I launched the original CD
(Software)
When I click on the Icon it loads the software I momentary see the screen then it goes blank
Tried to delete and reload with the same issue I do want to start fresh with the software and really dont want to use the online version.
I did use this back in 2015 when I purchased from Best Buy but dont have the data files anymore nor the PC.
Any Ideas? Thanks for any help you can offer Joe😁

There is no online version. It is still a Desktop program. So you don't need to open an old data file? Good.
If you don't mind starting over in a new Quicken file and don't want to use online services you can get Quicken 2013. You can download 2013 Deluxe for free using this how to convert article. It’s under Converting from Quicken 2004-2009. 2013 is the last good version before they started requiring an ID and since they went to the subscription model where if you don't renew about 25% of your screen is taken up with an ad to renew.
I'm staying on 2013.I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

See this link about your issue: https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/blanklogin2014-2017.html
The issue is that you can no longer register your version of Quicken and it won't work without the registration info in the files at the correct places, but that is all explained in the link provided above.

Then you are out luck and the only way you can get at your data is to pay for Quicken Subscription. The "workaround" doesn't work for everyone, I'm pretty sure it has to something to do with what state the person's Quicken Id subscription is in.
After you pay for Quicken Subscription you have a few choices.
- Stay with Quicken Subscription.
- Export a QIF file and try to move to another application that will read in and cancel the subscription within 30 days.
- Export a QIF file and try this process to move it to Quicken 2013 which is the last version before the Quicken Id (actually Intuit Id) was introduced. You can get Quicken Windows US 2013 Deluxe for free from the second link and cancel the subscription within 30 days.

Q2015 works on my old W10 laptop. After reviewing and combining threads in this community (Thanks team), I got Q2015 to work on my new W11 laptop with the following steps:
- Downloaded the 32-bit (x86) version of this C++ redistributable from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 (vcredist_x86.exe) - Downloaded the r17.4 Mondo patch from https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quicken-2015-patches.html (QW2015R17.4MPatch.EXE).
- Turned off wifi
- Installed Quicken 2015 from my CD (copied to a SSD). Do NOT start Quicken (see step 8).
- Installed the 32-bit (x86) version of this C++ redistributable downloaded above (vcredist_x86.exe)
- Installed the r17.4 Mondo patch downloaded above (QW2015R17.4MPatch.EXE)
- Copied C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Quicken\Config\*.* from my old computer to my new one. Note: ProgramData is a hidden folder.
- I copied my latest Personal.QDF to my new computer and double clicked it TO START QUICKEN. Quicken asked me for a password, then showed me the account screen. 😁
2 - Downloaded the 32-bit (x86) version of this C++ redistributable from here:
-
Glad to hear it.
I Googled vcredist_x86.exe and did not understand it at all.
What did it do for you?

@holmge - I believe step 7 was one what fixed the issue for you. Copying/pasting the old Config folder over the new Config folder (or more specifically, the old Quicken.ini file over the new Quicken.ini file) is the most reliable identified solution for this registration issue.
One suggestion: Be sure to save a copy of that old Config folder in a secure location not on your hard drive for future reference. It is quite possible (likely?) that at some time in the future your QWin 2015 will cease to function, again, for this registration reason. If/when that happens, you can try doing the copy/paste, again, and hopefully it will restore functionality, again.
