Estimated payment amount changes when I edit the reminder and click done.

Options

I'm trying to use estimated payments for an exiting bill. When I
select use past 3 payments in the edit bill reminder window the
estimated amount is correct but when I click done the amount that shows
up in the reminder for the estimated payment is much larger than was
previously shown. I'm on Quicken for Windows current version.

    Hello @Halzonski,

To start with, I suggest that you please try validating and/or super validating your data file. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    Validate:

    1. File
    2. Validate and Repair File...
    3. Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.

    Super Validate:

    1. File
    2. Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
    3. Super Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi,

I performed both Validations, no change in this behavior.

$996.54 is exactly 34 times $29.31 … which is an odd multiplier to say the least.

I'd suggest that you create a TEST file and see what happens in it.

Also, in your post you reference a credit card … but your graphic shows a subscription to the NY Times, which I don't believe issues credit cards. Please explain.

    Hi,

Actually I have this problem with ALL my reminders in which I use "estimate from previous X# of payments.
