Can Quicken Classic Starter print checks (edit)

Can the Quicken Classic Starter version print checks on the form checks?

I just need the very basic check registrar and printing? But the web site does not mention what the different versions can or cannot do. Very frustrating.

To answer your question, Quicken Classic Starter does support the ability to print checks. For more information about check printing click this link for Quicken for Windows or this link for Quicken for Mac.

Other things that are good to know about Quicken Classic Starter -

1. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, you will have read only access to your file. (You can view, but can't edit/update)
2. Checking, Savings, Credit Card, and Cash are the only supported account types.
3. You can create a budget and have access to the 1 month budget graph view on the Planning tab. You can also sync your budget with the cloud.
4. You can create multiple data files under the same Quicken ID, switch between them, and sync them to the Quicken Cloud. (Syncing to the cloud allows you to view/update your information on the companion apps).
5. You can generate a variety of reports, such as banking, comparison, net worth, spending, tax, and an Account Balances graph. Please note that which reports are available depends on whether you use Windows or Mac.
6. You can export to TurboTax (Importing from TurboTax is not supported)
7. Tags are not supported.

You might want to consider subscribing to Deluxe instead of Starter. As mentioned by @Quicken Kristina, if you buy Starter you will need to resubscribe each year in order to continue using Starter. With Deluxe you get everything in Starter plus many other additional types of financial accounts you can set up and track (such as investments, loans, other assets such as homes and cars, etc.) and tax reports, Tax Planner, Lifetime Planner and many other features….things you might find you really like. But unlike Starter which will become read-only if you do not renew the subscription, Deluxe will remain fully usable manually (no online services). So the subscription cost up front the first year is a little higher but after that it is no cost.

You can only use preprinted, Quicken-compatible check forms. "Blank" check forms without the preprinted address, bank information and MICR code line cannot be used.
For 3-per-page personal size checks choose "Wallet Checks (Check 21 ...)", not "Wallet Checks" (unless you still use some very old stock from many years ago)
For 3-per-page business size checks choose "Standard Checks", not "Voucher Checks".
For 1-per-page business size checks with 2 stubs choose "Voucher Checks".
