Can I rearrange the budget categories on my budget

I'm not asking about adding or removing. But moving the important ones to the top of the list. There are things I want to track but they are not as important so I'd move them to the bottom and things that have frequent charges I would move to the top

    Hello @MntlDfct,

Unfortunately, reorganizing category groups is not a feature in Quicken Classic right now. However, there is currently an idea thread for it which you can view here. I suggest adding your vote and keeping an eye out as our Product and Development teams frequently review ideas for new features.

    I apologize for any inconvenience.

Other than creating new Category Groups, e.g., "Important Income", "Important Expense" and then changing the Category Groups of existing categories (see Tools / Category List / Options button / Assign Category Groups) …

the only other workaround I can think of would be to rename each of your categories and put a numeric 2- or 3-digit prefix in front of the category name, e.g. "01 Auto", "02 Food", "99 Vacation", where 01 is the highest importance and 99 is the lowest.

P.S.: When assigning categories to Category Groups, do NOT mix income and expense categories together into one group. Keep income separate from expense category groups!
