Degraded Billers

Some might not know, that at least for me, degraded billers not only fail to show a new bill, get stuck on adding and no new bill yet available, BUT can also corrupt ALL my EWC and EWC+ working billers creating havoc. This is caused some times by Refresh Biller, Fix It or just a OSU. Its a fact. And this has gotten better at recovery, but not yet enough.

So, @Quicken Anja or other mods, can we get a sticky list of what billers ARE degraded at any point to save a LOT of time trying to delete, readd, refresh, etc?

For example, I know for me, AT&T and Hulu are both degraded today. Others, like Wells Fargo or Chase or Citi come and go into degraded states.

While online billers is a source of almost daily frustration, a sticky report updated as needed could eliminate some of that frustration.

    Hello @Bob.,

Unfortunately, we cannot filter a list that only shows Online Billers with a degraded status because of the way the internal system we use is set up.

When we check to see an Online Biller's status, we do it by entering the name of a specific Online Biller in a search bar which pulls up results of all Online Billers matching that name. We then have to select the specific one we need to check on to open it and see its status. We do not have the ability to see the status of any Online Billers, before searching its specific name and opening it.

Hope this clarifies things, and I apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.

    What is a "degraded biller?"

Been using Quicken (and TurboTax) since DOS days in 1990s. Now using Quicken subscription on Windows.

@Bob. Interesting comment. I used, or tried to use, online billers for several years. What I found was that billers either worked or didn't work. After a while all my billers must have "degraded" to the "does not work" category and I completely gave up on using the feature. I am much happier now that I don't spend any time refreshing, deleting ,etc, hoping that by some miracle a bill would be downloaded.

@Snorkle - agree. Same here. Online Billers just does not work well enough to be useful. In fact, the whole "Bills and Income" tab has become useless to me. I still use manual bill and income reminders.

In any given month, half of my maybe 10 billers might work. Some come in .01 short. Some have to be refreshed. Some break the other EWC+ billers and show them as invalid and must be readded. I fight it every month.

AT&T has not worked in maybe over a year. Hulu broke 4-5 months ago maybe. For grins, I have a TEST file and Adobe works there but not in my LIVE file. Chase depends on the phase of the moon. On and on.

Knowing which are degraded - which means an issue for ALL users of that biller - tells me I can relax and wait. And wait. But if not degraded I might be able to fix things locally using a handful of tricks I have found over the years.

I gave up that fun years ago. Just not worth it.
