It does. I leave my Windows Quicken 2013 open. To backup I put an icon on my menu bar. Or do Ctrl+B.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

I know nothing about QMac. But on QWin, Backup is an operation which takes quite a bit of time and prevents the user from doing anything for the duration. Auto-backup would probably be quite difficult to implement cleanly, and I wouldn't want QWin developers spending time on it.
I vote NO.
Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.
