PayPal Mastercard and One-Step Update (Quicken Classic Premier & Windows 10)

Recently (last two weeks?) PayPal Mastercard began asking for TFA during one-step update. I probably had to go through TFA when I initially enrolled PayPal in one-step update, but I have never had to enter it each time. This is persistent, and a nuisance.

I already have had to stop using my Wells Fargo card because Quicken and WF don't talk nice to each other.

One-step update is losing its value.

    Hello @Dave Kacoroski,

To start with, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

Once that is done, see if the issue still continues to persist.

Let us know how it goes!

@Quicken Anja I have the same very annoying problem for the last few weeks. On each download Paypal asks for one time code. Your suggestion to sign out and back didn't make any difference.

    Hello @foxsilverfox,

Have you attempted to call PayPal or navigate to their website to search for settings regarding third-party access? If Quicken isn't identified with your Financial Institutions, it will cause every One Step Update to be triggered as if it were a new account which would in turn cause repeated 2FA pop-ups.

    I hope this helps!

@Quicken Anja I still having codes requested on each transaction download. There is nothing on Paypal side that can be changed in that regard. Paypal technical support wasn't any help either.
