Has anyone succeeded in downloading transactions from Synchrony Bank for a Fleet Farm credit card?
Quicken says new connect is available but does not get to the right area of Synchrony to look for my account. Their retail cards are in a separate area and the website noted in setup is for the "regular" Synchrony credit cards not the retail cards such as Fleet Farm. Synchrony site has removed all options for downloading them manually, telling me that I can download them through Quicken. Catch 22. Anyone resolved this?

Quicken support is of no help on his issue and Synchrony is incapable of understanding what Quicken link might be. Good luck and let me know if you find out.

Having the same issue: error code cc-503 for fleet farm card. Had been using the manual option from their website, but that's no longer available. I see lots of comments regarding this account.
Please check into.
thank you.

Existing account will not update. Also Just tried setting up new account again - no luck. CC-503 error message

Quicken Jasmine: I explained the issue in my original question. Synchrony Bank thinks we can set up account download with Quicken, but we cannot. The error would be occurring for those who had an activated connect and it is likely going nowhere because Synchrony Bank does not have the same download corridor for its bank accounts as it does for its retail credit cards such as Fleet Farm. This one is on QUICKEN I fear, or at the minimum a miscommunication with Synchrony Bank.

Thank you for your replies,
If you are seeing a CC-503 error, to troubleshoot this issue, please backup your Quicken file, then follow these steps from this article on CC-503 errors:
Step One: Verify your bank login information
- Type your password/PIN into a text application, such as Notepad, WordPad, or other text/word application.
- Note: This is a way of confirming you don't have typographical errors in this field.
- Highlight the "confirmed" password and then copy it (Ctrl + C) and paste it (Ctrl + V) into the appropriate fields in Quicken.
Step Two: Verify your bank login at the bank's website
- Go to your bank's website and confirm that you're able to log in with the expected username and password.
- Once you are logged in, review your account at the website for notifications (such as pending messages in a mailbox or message center) to confirm if further action is required to grant Quicken access.
- Some banks will require a separate login, password, or both to access accounts on third-party software. Also note, you may need to go to your settings at the website to access these prompts for new credentials.
New passwords: If you are required to make a new password, be aware that some special characters may cause errors in Quicken. These special characters are the ampersand (&), left carat (<), right carat (>), backslash (\), and forward slash (/). Additionally, while Quicken does not have a character limit, your bank may have one.
Step Three: Update your password(s) in Quicken
- Choose Tools > Account List.
- Click the Edit button next to the account you want to change the login ID for.
- In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
- Click Reset Account.
- Enter the correct login ID and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset.
- If prompted, carefully LINK the accounts found to the existing accounts in Quicken.
After the reset process is complete, attempt your online session again.
If the issue persists
Try Deactivating and Reactivating the affected accounts:
- Choose Tools > Account List.
- Click the Edit button next to the account you want to change the login ID for.
- In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
- Click Deactivate, and then click Yes to deactivate online services.
- Click Yes again, if necessary, to confirm your choice.
- Repeat these steps to deactivate all accounts at this same bank.
- Return to the Online Services tab and click Set up Now for each account you've deactivated.
- Enter the correct login ID and follow the on-screen prompts to activate your account.
If you are not seeing a CC-503 error, then please provide more details on exactly what is happening when you try to connect your account(s) in Quicken (what process you are following, where you're getting roadblocked, what error messages/codes you're seeing, etc.).
Please let me know how it goes!

I have now deactivated the account's update with Fleet Farm credit card and tried activating the new system. I get the 503 error and this is the screen:
I am able to access the account logging in to the Synchrony Bank website, but it is a two step login from the main Sybnchrony URl that is shown in Quicken setup. I have to select Retail credit cards as shown in the following screenprint to get to the area that will accept my login.
I think that the problem of Synchrony not recognizing my login for a Fleet Farm credit card is somehow tied to that two step access and the Quicken set up is only taking me to the Synchrony main site, not the secondary site.
Please considet these issues and try to resolve the problem as I now have no access to transaction download with this account.
Thanks.

Thank you for your reply,
I notice in the screenshot you show of Synchrony's website/2 step login process, it shows Retail and CareCredit in the same grouping. Have you tested to see if you can connect using the CareCredit connection option in Quicken?
Please let me know how it goes!

I don't have that option. When I try to connect initially to activate transaction downloading through Quicken, Quicken searehes for my accounts at Synchrony Bank. I have no choice about where on that site they are searching for my accounts. Since they come back saying that no accounts were found using that ID and password and I have verified that the ID and password are correct on the site, I can only assume that Quicken is not searching the correct site. Care credit is under the same block as retail credit cards, so that is not a separate option. "Credit Cards" (including retail credit cards and care credit) is the option that takes me to the login screen from which I can successfully access my account.
Is it possible that Quicken is set up to search the Synchrony Mastercard site or the Banking site for my Fleet Farm account? Or that it is not getting past the main Synchrony site at all and therefore is not reaching any accounts? I'm not hearing that anyone is getting through that has a Fleet Farm credit card, so I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has.

Thank you for your reply,
Based on your description of what is happening, it sounds like you're trying to connect the account from the Account Details window, Online Services tab, and clicking the Set up Now button. Is that correct? When you try to connect that way, it will default to connecting via whichever financial institution is listed for that account in the financial institution column of the Account List.
Instead, please backup your Quicken file, then go to Tools>Add Account. There isn't an option for Fleet Farm, but customers have reported being able to connect to cards serviced by Synchrony Bank, even when there isn't a specific connection option for their card, by using one of the existing ones, such as CareCredit and Guitar Center. Try searching for one of those, follow the prompts, and see if you're able to successfully connect.
Please let me know how it goes!

I was able to successfully add a Synchrony Bank retail credit card by using the Guitar Center choice. I believe the reason why it works is because it uses the mysynchrony.com website.

I was able to set up a Fleet Farm credit card (Synchrony Bank) new account using Guitar Center and CareCredit. Both connections worked, downloading the same transactions.
I then created a beginning balance transaction to tie out to current ending balance. So far seems to be working okay. I’ll just delete one of the accounts so I don’t carry a duplicate on the books.
Thank you all for your help.0 -

Well, I'll be…. CareCredit worked for me when I did a search for it by that exact name, taking me to CareCredit.com, not mentioning Synchrony Bank in any way. Short of having read this here, I find no way that title would have been apparent to a Fleet Farm card holder. Very glad to have my access set up. Thanks all!

Updater re Synchrony Bank. This month's Fleet Farm email statement's link is to a new page that includes CareCredit. It appears there is now rhyme and reason to the difficulties of the past. Everyone is caught up with the changes.
