Wells Fargo accounts no longer update
I have a Wells Fargo checking account. Downloading transactions via one-step update worked until I tried to connect my new Wells Fargo Visa card to One Step Update as well. Now neither of the accounts will sync. I deactivated and reactivated and that process appeared to work with no errors, but transactions are now not downloading for either account. When I try resetting either account, I get a message saying:
"Quicken could not complete the account reset. This could be caused by a temporary problem connecting with your financial institution or an incorrect password. Please try again. If you get this message after multiple attempts, please wait a few days and try again or contact Quicken Customer Support."
It's been several days and transactions are still not downloading. What am I missing?
Thank you!

My family has numerous Wells Fargo accounts (checking, savings, credit card, etc.). Upon returning from vacation (July 3rd), I went to update Quicken. Nothing worked. Eventually got all of our brokerage (Fidelity) accounts to download (with a lot of duplicates of previously downloaded transactions), but even after deactivating and reactivating and resetting all of our Wells Fargo Accounts, no new transactions will come through. I don't think you are missing anything, as there are a lot of comments about not being able to download a lot of financial institutions starting around July 4th/

Hello @ThruHiker99 and @Kevin B,
To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide more information. Were you originally connected to Wells Fargo using Direct Connect or Express Web Connect+ (EWC+)? When you deactivated and reconnected the accounts, did you reconnect using the same connection method? Are you seeing any error codes when you try to update your accounts? When you update your accounts, what is showing up on the One Step Update summary? If possible, would you please provide a screenshot of any error messages/codes you are seeing? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
I look forward to your replies!

I've been experiencing this same issue with WellsFargo, but I started to notice this issue for perhaps a month or so. No solution yet.

Wells Credit Card needs to be EWC+. If so, try validating your file. It actually ws the trick for me.

Solution found:
As I mentioned earlier, this was also an issue for me that cropped up. There are various possible causes for why this may have occurred for me that I won't go into, but numerous attempts to reset the account, change the connection method, or simply deactivate and reactivate online services did not fix failing to download new transactions. Finally, I resorted to creating a new file based on my existing one, and reestablishing ALL online service connections in the new file. This appears to have fixed my issue and I am now able to download transactions successfully from WF.To create the backup file, NOTE the Advanced Option you need to use to create a new internal ID. The new file will have all your existing accounts and transactions, but you will need to reestablish connections for all online accounts.

@MrSAM 's solution on 7/6 worked! Thank you.

@Quicken Kristina , I thought that @MrSAM 's solution worked, but it only worked for the first download. I am back to Wells Fargo not downloading transactions. OneStepUpdate shows that my 5 Wells Fargo accounts were updated, and that 7 new transactions were found, but no transactions show up on any of my WF accounts. What could be the cause of this problem where transactions are downloaded but do not display?

Thank you for your reply @ThruHiker99,
If Quicken is claiming there are new transactions, but they aren't showing up in your register, then please follow the directions in this article on when Quicken says there are transactions, but you don't see any.
Please let me know how it goes!
