Why is one step update "wait ten minutes and try again"?
I updated Quicken with latest patch as of today 7/8/24. One step updates stopped and after reset on individual accounts, the data only downloads to Cloud Sync, not to my Quicken account itself. The one step update gives message "wait ten minutes and try again." So I can't even update on an individual financial record. I logged off, restarted computer, waited one hour, started Quicken again and still message one step update not available and wait ten minutes.

not helpful
Not creating a new user id for several years of data
Another person warned users this solution is bogus and caused all previous data to be lost

Thank you for your response.
Please review the article instructions again. You do not need to create a new user. You simply need to click on “sign in as a different user” in order to log out, then log back in with the same Quicken user ID. This process resets the registration token for your online connected services.
This does not affect your data file, however if you are concerned, then we recommend saving a backup.
Hope this clarifies things for you!
