Are Backups Still Being Deleted as Specified for Others? (Q Mac)

I have Quicken Mac Classic Premiere set to delete backups after 10, and it appears that has stopped working. I used to work flawlessly. There were over 20 autosaved backups in the folder the last time I checked. Is this feature still working for others? I am on version Version 7.8.1 (Build 708.53916.100 and Quicken does have full disk access in MacOS.

I have mine set to keep the last 100 and I currently have 138 "(Automatic)" backups for my main file, so it's going past the limit for me too. It looks like it exceeded the 100 file limit starting on June 27th, just after 7.8 was released.

Don't know if this is true in QMac also … but in QWin that count only applies to otherwise identically named backups. QWin will append a sequential number to keep track of the count.

BUT, in QWin, if you choose to append the date/time of the backup they're not identically named and that "count of number to keep" doesn't apply.

Quicken Mac doesn't give you any options for naming backup files, the date is automatically included in the name. But that hasn't been an issue in the past for deleting backups once you hit the limit.

I agree. This seems like an issue caused by a recent update.

I have submitted a report along with a screenshot showing that I set it to keep 10 and has kept 16.

Quicken updated this morning, the new version fixes this. The first time I ran it after installing the update, when the program exited & created an automatic backup the excess backup files were deleted and I'm now back down to the correct number of backup files.
