Unable to Update Charles Schwab Accounts [Edited]
Please note - any ability to Download Transactions & current status via " One Step Update" from Charles Schwab has been inoperations or broken since ~ July 27th 2024! All troubleshooting , deactivation's, resetting on Both Quicken Classic for Windows ANS Schwab's website doesn't resolve!
Oddly the One Step window earlier today displayed a "New Version" msg, but was bogus and didn't link to any SW .
Again, the 3rd party download Vendor Service and Quicken need to resolve. It hasn't worked for days. Please resolve 😫 and update? Thanks, Brian

Is this while using the Mac version of Quicken (I'm looking at your user name) or the Windows version? You've posted this as a Windows version problem.
This certainly isn't a universal problem as I'm receiving downloads from Schwab, the forum isn't being flooded with similar posts, and there's no current Alert regarding Schwab, so that at least suggests that the issue is something "local to you."
If you think that you've tried every single thing that there is to try to fix this then I'd say contact Official Quicken Support and allow for screen sharing to see if they can figure this out.

Hi Tim, thanks for response. Issue is on Windows platform. Two days ago I did contact Customer Support & gave Screen Access. I've performed all resetting, delete & reestablishment procedures , and contact & performed like on Schwabs systems. Quicken straight up told me it was their known issue. I believe some Community based report, research & await some answers is not too effective or accurate support model. So, at this juncture await …. BTW , did File Validates & now issues.

Same issue. Nothing downloaded during the month of July, although each day OSU says "Charles Schwab - 3 accounts updated - no new transactions". There were several transactions during the month, but nothing downloaded. Have done all the steps, validations, reactivations, etc. Nothing fixes problem. The last successful download was at month end in June.

Same issue here…. All other downloads work, just not Charles Schwab. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the accounts, and while I can see the accounts listed, each one only has the option "Don't add to Quicken" under the Actions column.

Hello @wjoehewitt,
The issue you describe with "Don't add to Quicken" being the only available action indicates that Quicken still thinks the account(s) are connected. To troubleshoot that, please backup your Quicken file, then make sure you deactivate all Schwab accounts associated with that login ID in your Quicken file. I recommend going to Tools>Account List and click the Show hidden accounts box (near the lower left) to verify all Schwab accounts are disconnected. Once you've made sure all the Schwab accounts are disconnected, you would reconnect them by going to Tools>Add Account, and following the prompts, making sure to carefully re-link them to the appropriate nicknames in Quicken.
Thank you!
Quicken Kristina

Hello, days ago… after being very patient and not seeing any material movement, I tried a "full & complete reset" . This consisted of - 1st Took a Full Backup Then went to Schwab account - Profile - Security Settings - Linked Apps and Websites - Quicken - and "Stop linking to all Accounts". then back to Quicken Classic for Windows (R58.9)… and for each of my 5 Schwab accounts - 1) Went to Account Details - Online Setup and Deactivate 2) and Reactive and made all accurate Link to accounts (via my naming & number descriptions) Then attempted One Step Update to Schwab …Low & behold connections were made and (wait for it..) both sporadic "old-dup transactions" and new transactions downloaded. Then for the First Time I saw at bottom of Quicken download register transactions noted as "Near Match" (never seen before) after a bunch of gyration & reconciliations and transaction "tweaks" I got Quicken & Schwab records and data consistent & accurate. WHEW …
I won't call this a Fix or Resolution for Quickens noted responsibility & it's accountable software team… But, guess a possible roll your own work around attempt & limp forward.
Best of luck & success,
Brian

I had the same experience with this work around (transactions downloaded, "Near match", etc.) It worked for that day only. No updates since then. I did it on August 2nd. OSU has shown "Charles Schwab - 5 accounts updated - 45 new transactions" ever since. This never changes. Quotes on brokered CDs have not updated since 8/2. I guess I will do this after month-end each month until it is fixed….if it ever is.
