How do I get the Actual values on the Budget report to have values other than zero?
I am on Quicken Classic Deluxe R58.9.
I have had this problem since I first installed Quicken and it seems that no one is able to resolve the issue. I try to run a Income/Expense Budget Report. The report seems to work just fin except all of the individual Actual values are zero. If I click on the zero actual value for a category I get the detail of that entry and there are valuyes showing up just fine and I have no reason to believe that they are not valid.
When talking to Quicken support (which it doesn't look like I am able to do anymore because the link to chat is below the screen and I can't scroll it up) last year I called an got someone who was helping multiple people at the same time. He would get some information from me and then go away for a while and then come back and I usually had to repeat my question that I had asked. The next time I chatted with someone they gave me a long process to try and when I came back they had said I had taken too long to come back and they hung up on me. At this point I can't even get to a chat window.
I looked on the community entries and there was a possible option to try, but when I clicked on the link I was told that I did not have permission to see that page.
Is there anyone that can help me?
Thank you.

Let's start with taking a look at the reports in question, both the report you call "Income/Expense Budget Report" and the drilldown report for a selected Actual value.
Be sure to include the report view's page and column headers so we can see which report you're actually looking at.How do I post a screenshot in the community from windows

Here is the Income/Expense Budget Report:
and when I click on the zeroes in the Actual column of 'Sunday Collection' this is what I see:
I did have one of the Current Budget reports that had Actual figures on the Income and Expenses total line, but I am not sure how I got that to show up.

I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly. I was respopnding to UKR's comments, but it looks like I am answering MY original post rather than answering UKR. Am I supposed to do something differently?

Thanks for sending in the report images. You're doing everything correctly and the images are very helpful.
I was waiting and hoping for someone else in the Community to chime in with an answer to your question, because, frankly, I'm out of ideas … other than the following:
If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.

Thanks for the screen shots. You are posting correctly. In this forum, your original post and all responses are shown as one conversation.
How do you access this report? Is it a report that has been customized and saved, or the built in report at Reports > Spending > Current Budget? If it is a saved report, try using the built in report and see if you get the correct results.

@UKR - thanks for the response. I have contacted Quicken support a number of times. This last time they said it is a known problem with the report and they have no idea of when they will get it fixed. I'm guessing, seeing as this is one of the major reports that I use, that I should try to get my money back and just keep using the old Quicken that works correctly!
@Jim_Harmon - I have a saved report as well as going to the Spending —> Current Budget and I get the same result. My saved report shows Actual amounts for the totals for Income and Expenses. I finally found out that if in Customize —> Advanced —> Categories and select "Inclued all" or "Non-zero actual/budgeted" then I get the Actual total in Income and Expenses. It doesn't make any difference to the other category actual figures, but as I show above, I do get detail about the actual figures even if I click on the zeroes in the actual column for any of the categories.
Thank you both for trying to help. This is amazingly frustrating and I am surprised that either they haven't resolved this or no one else has reported this as a problem.
